FAQ: EU Security Funding Pathway
Q1: Do you own defence technology or hardware? A: No. Post AI Systems does not claim proprietary defence hardware or software, and does not replace the specialist technical authority of technology providers. Our contribution is the capability architecture, requirements, positioning, consortium design and coordination; the specialist technology stays with you and your partners. Q2: Can you create the project idea, or only work on an existing one? A: Both. We can develop an existing initiative, or originate the concept ourselves — designing the collaborative R&D project from the ground up, defining the capability and its contributions, and building the consortium around it. Q3: Can you write the full proposal, or only contribute a part? A: Both. As a contributing partner we deliver a defined capability work package — a named, bounded block of the project. As project architect we design the whole project and develop the full proposal through to submission. Q4: What is a "capability work package"? A: In collaborative R&D, a project is divided into work packages: named blocks of work, each with a lead partner, defined tasks and deliverables. A capability work package is the specific, bounded part of the project we own and are responsible for — for example requirements and use-case mapping, or the capability architecture itself. Q5: Do you help find calls and funding? A: We identify the programme route that fits a defined capability and project (for example Horizon Europe Cluster 3, the European Defence Fund and related instruments). We start from the capability, not from a call, and we do not act as a generic funding-navigation or matchmaking service. Q6: How do you use AI in this work? A: Governed AI is a supporting layer, not the substance of the contribution. Inside a consortium it can help link and organise project information, evidence and partner inputs, and support coordination and technical-management workflows — always under human oversight. Many engagements rely on it lightly or not at all. Q7: Does working with you guarantee funding? A: No. No provider can guarantee funding or eligibility. Strong capability architecture and a well-formed consortium improve a project's quality and competitiveness; they do not determine the outcome.
